Sorry for the late reply. You can use him if you want. I released Lance Steele and his associated friends, enemies, and world to the public domain. I'll try to remember to put the rest of his stories on my website so you can know as much about him as I do.

The original story was set in the early days of android production, but a slight modification can place it in the in the early days of the APEX program. At this stage of the program the androids are 3rd Generation units, run a Human Emulation Program and think they're human, but when they start to doubt the HEP a self-termination module kicks in and destroys the android's brain. But Lance's little team have help deleting the termination module.

I need to know a little more about Lance and his friends.
