Meme, whee...

I was listening to American Roots on public radio this evening. The show was on bad habits. They started out with smoking and went on to coffee. I told Teph that "Forty Cups of Coffee" ought to be my theme song.

"Why don't they have any about drinking?"

I shrugged. "Probably because everyone knows ten or twenty songs about drinking. It would take weeks to play them all."

So.. how about replying to this with a drinking song? I'm curious how many are out there. I'll start the list with "One Whiskey, One Scotch, and One Beer," performed by George Thorougood.

We had a decent list going, but I'll just toss one in and see if anyone else picks up.

Beer for My Horses, not about drinking but alcohol is involved.

Would "every country song ever" be a little too snarky?

Alright, alright. There's also "Another Irish Drinking Song," by Da Vinci's Notebook.

It's not so much a song about booze as it is a drinking song. Bugger Off.
