Lack of Progress Report
Aug. 21st, 2007 06:15 pmYesterday I got in touch with Lulu.Com to ask them what's with my ISBN.
As I'm sure you'll recall unless you're sane enough not to read this junk, I paid Lulu $150 for a "Published by You" package. Includes ISBN, necessary registrations, and my book goes to a distributor who is supposed to get it set up so you can buy it online at various places.
I still don't know if getting the ISBN and marketing agreement was a good idea, but I won't rehash that yet again.
Anyway, it's been more than eight weeks. Supposed to be six to eight and then my book shows up in ISBN searches. Nope. So I got in touch with Lulu and asked what's with that. The nice guy at the other end of Live Chat said he'd look into it.
Today I got a notice that my ISBN has been issued and my book should be available in searches at Amazon, B&N, and so on.
It isn't.
The notice is in French.
Le sigh.
