I'm forever buying watches. The latest is a big gaudy chunk of 100% genuine plastic wrapped lumpishly around my left wrist as I type this.
It has to be big to contain the photovoltaic cells and the radio receiver for the National Bureau of Standards atomic clock's radio signals, I guess. As for the gaudy part, I suppose that's just because.
It tells me the current time is High FRI p (arrowhead pointing to the word 'save') 5:49 dst 14 6-18 (little picture of a radio telescope) e (three-segment bar graph with all three segments black). I think that means it's suppertime.
In a related development, it has come to my attention that the Subaru Impreza WRX Sportwagon is kinda cool, especially the red ones with manual transmissions.
